Is it free to submit a legal problem?

Yes. Submitting a problem costs nothing and you are under no obligation to hire anyone. Any fees for legal work are agreed directly between you and the lawyer.

Who reads my request?

A person on our team reads every request and chooses a suitable lawyer based on the kind of problem, your city and the languages you are comfortable in. There is no automated matching.

When does a lawyer get my phone number?

Only after a lawyer has read your request and agreed to take it on. If a lawyer declines, they never see your contact details and we pass your request to someone else.

Is Kanoon Sathi a law firm?

No. Kanoon Sathi is a directory and referral service that connects people with independent lawyers. We do not give legal advice ourselves.

How are lawyers chosen for the directory?

Every lawyer who signs up is reviewed by our team, including checks against Bar Council of India advertising rules. We do not rank or rate lawyers, and lawyers cannot pay for placement.

Which cities do you cover?

You can submit a problem from anywhere in India. Our detailed local guides currently cover Delhi and a growing list of other cities, and we are adding more.
